I am planning to order an antibody, but I am unsure on which antibody works best as an exosomal marker for DLBCL cell lines. I have read papers suggesting the use of CD63, CD81 and TSG101 commonly used, but I am unsure if that is the case even with DLBCL cell lines. Any suggestions on zeroing down to one marker that works best for these cell lines would be highly appreciated!

for my experience CD81 is widely expressed on the majority of cell lines with the exception of a few... My suggestion is to check if the cell lines you are using have a specific mutation/deletion on that marker; usually it is reported for characterized cell lines.

Thank you! I was assuming that, TSG101 would be a good marker because it is involved in the MVB pathway and because CD63 and CD81 are shown to be involved in the plasma membrane that zeroes down to the formation of microvesicles also, I thought TSG101 would serve best. But, as you suggested, I will look for the applicability of CD81 too.
