Grinding is not a micromachining process in general, but there are microgrinding applications - similar to milling, drilling or turning.

micro-machining has a wide defenition rang and grinding or better to say fine grinding and finishing can be also defined as the micro-machining process you can look at my PhD work from chalmers university

Grinding is a presion machining method. Grinding can be used for micro-machining.

I think machining a micro-size component is called micro-machining. We can use any machining process to do that.
