Different databases contain large amount of sequence data but how can I find organisms that are recently sequenced. Is there any way to filter the search results for newly sequenced organisms in databases?
I would suggest you go to the genome database website. There are numerous numbers of species and you would need to focus on which categories you want to go. For example, NCBI genome site has 60131 species with various degrees of completion, including Eukaryotes (15979); Prokaryotes (318532)...In addition to above links, you could go to:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/
There, you could explore "Browse by Organism' or other links.
