Do you think that a good research or that carries a distinctive results should be published in a journal indexed by either Scopus or Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters before), and this publication is for the benefit of journal or the authors?

Be careful, avoid predatorly and blacklisted publishers and journals to be safe. Try to publish in free open access journals for better visibility of the work to a wide range of audience. The journals indexed in either Scopus or Clarivate Analytics proved that they are following the ethical guidelines and they are valid.
I always go to the free charge Journal even it has low impact factor or sometimes without.
Publish your work in the journal where it will have the most impact, Readership, prestige, availability, subject scope, peer review process and acceptance rate should all be considered when choosing a journal. By the way, to be valid scientific knowledge it should be peer reviewed and have or be in process to get a ISSN.

Publish your work in good impact factor journals but it will take nearly one to one and half year or some times more to publish. Some online journals (free ) publish within short duration. Publishing in high impact factor journals is really a credit to author for his outstanding contribution.
Check only journals listed in Elsevier and Springer and some other certified journal in your university.
As I am unable to pay the money usually demanded by the IF journals, I publish my articles in Peer Reviewed, Open access, Thomson Reuters indexed journals which either demand no money or demand a minimum amount.
There are many such journals.
First thing is avoid predatory journals. Second criteria for me is how well a journal is circulated and its impact factor. Even if the journal does not have impact factor, if it is published from a good, reputed publishing house like Springer, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis etc., I will go for it. It is better to publish only in SCI Journals. Publishing research work in the form of chapters in edited books published by renowned publishing houses can also be considered positively.

I agree with Dr Entedhar too, if you have the possibility to pay for the high ranking. I cannot pay for such Journal and so, I go to the free Journals.
The evaluation of a paper depends mainly on the work content (not on the Journal) according to my opinion only.
