Is their any specific number for paper required when the student write his thesis or dissertation.
Most of the universities require a minimum of one publication in Scopus/ISI/SCI/Web of science indexed journals for a Masters program where as for Ph.D program, they require minimum of two publications indexed in Scopus/ISI/SCI journals.
The number of pages depends on the nature of the research subject, its specialization, its extent, and the number of studied factors. However, in general, the number of pages for a master's thesis should not be less than 40 pages. The PhD is about 60 pages from my own point of view, but this number is not a law applicable to all disciplines and research subjects.

For Master thesis I think the number of pages in a range of 70 to 120 for scientific disciplines. I have no idea about doctorate dissertation.

in thesis writing it depends on data and information you are going to describe. as a text citation i think 100-150 is enough but keep remember that papers which are closely related to your work should be cited.
for degree requirement: again it depends on policy of institute but generally as per my experience 2 publications are required for Phd and 1 for MS.
If you mean the thesis pages, then it depends on the amount of data you have. In general, a Masters thesis is composed of fewer pages than a PhD thesis does. We, in medicine, have also a compulsory dissertation for different kinds of Board. Usually this is the shortest.
To me, there is no rule that how many pages I should write! Depends on you work. That's why a master student has to publish only 1-2 papers derived from his/her work preliminary findings before defending the thesis while doctorals have to publish 3 or more papers.
Most universities recommend that the M.Sc. and Ph.D. students should publish at least one and two papers respectively. However, most supervisors prefer that more published papers support the student, supervisor, and the thesis since publication is a pre-evaluation of the thesis.
I think the scientific thesis content is more important than the number of paper.
Its depends on the methodology of the department.
In addition to writing a dissertation, the master has at least published research in an internal and international scientific journal, and the PhD has more than two publications

In some high rank universities is depending on the number of words which is different from college to other.
It depends where you are. Higher ranked universities will prefer one or two publicações in top journals instead of several ones in low quality journals, where the peer review is deficient.
In general for Master thesis there are no requirement of published papers but master thesis paper if published in future it will be for candidate future research career. For Ph.D thesis, in general rules, only two papers are required but more publications will be good for your future research.
In literature: master thesis - 120-160 papers; PhD thesis - 160-230 papers.

It is clear that the question is understood as two meanings by colleagues, what I think you mean the no of researches required to be published which are plagiarized from thesis in order to discuss his/her thesis, this one of requirements in Iraq, so dear Dr. Hind I think only one for master but two for PhD.

In terms of references and sources references on which the letters are less numerous, and allows the quotation from secondary references, and theses, requires the adoption of several references and modern and direct. It is not correct to rely on the introduction of master's letters

Dear Dr Hind S. Abdulhay , will you please make clear, what is paper mean? You mean journal article. If so, there is need of article publications for Master and depending on your university, some university even do not require article published for PhD also. But some university are very strict and they wanted to see your article published in a good journal (high impact factor) before your dissertation is proceed ahead for the evaluation. Some university want just to see article published 1-3, they are not strict on journal quality.

There is no a limited or a fixed number.
I think It must cover all the materials without paying so much attention to the number of the pages.

The number you mentioned is usually very large with regard to the scientific specialties in general,These numbers of pages actually exist in the human specialties. However, the number of pages is not specified by number. I supervised many Master students. The number of their thesis's pages is less than 70pages.

There is a difference in length between these two major processes. The master's thesis must be at least 100 pages in length, probably much further. However, the doctoral dissertation should be much longer, because it involves a great deal of basic information and research, along with every detail of your proposal and how you have reached the information, according to the University of Bordeaux. In Brazil, any department decide the rules but the federal government says the minimum necessary. Nowadays most of the universities' departments order a minimum of 2 publication.
In Malaysia, to be specific Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia requires a minimum of one publication indexed in Scopus/ISI plus one conference preceding for a Masters program while for Ph.D, two publications indexed in Scopus/ISI plus at least one conference proceeding.
