It may be easier to validate sediment model based on the watershed of the sediment collection site, and estimate the flow data at the sediment site using the outlet data, if that is what is being used. Some channel types are very efficient at moving sediment from site to site, such as gullies. Other channel types are efficient at collecting sediment such as low gradient, braided streams.
