I'm performing a meta-analysis of intervention studies and am wondering when there are multiple follow ups should I calculate effect sizes for all or take the later follow up as the definitive measurement for calculating effect size. Should I look across the studies and see if there is one time period of measurement that is most common and use this one say 1 month for example? One concern I have is that not all interventions should necessarily be judged by how long lasting there effects are, but accept this is consideration in evaluating effectiveness. Thoughts appreciated
