I have worked with microalgae recently and centrifugation was the best way to harvest the culture. However, it is known to be a costly process and very lengthy one, but suitable for lab-scale (still depends on culture volume and the centrifuge itself). What would be the most cost effective and rapid method for harvesting microalgae cells?
Any suggestion would be much appreciated!
