Completed screening applications for two faculty searches in construction that I chair. I helped finalize the list of top applicants with the search committee this morning. Chaired the tenure and promotion committee and made recommendations for seven faculty members this afternoon. Donated a leather couch to Habitat for Humanity later today. I had two cups of coffee and two cups of tea and also had time to responded to your question!
I considered the universal necessity of the liberal polity. Read Mary Midgley's obit. She taught me about counterfactuals. I sang my own drinking song words to the tune of The Star Spangled Banner! The tune was originally that of an English drinking song, reworded for the greatness of a "free and brave" America. I claim it back for a drunk as a skunk England!
All this I did from the confinement of my bed in a day riddled with long naps!

Some accomplishments today include helping to take care of my three granddaughters while their parents were busy juggling between tasks and a job; and all that while trying to find the news of the day and try answering RG questions.
I am alive and in good spirits ...able to smile..talk to all the people around
and answering RG questions with full energy...what else I want from a day?
I helped a person that I do not know him. I corrected and improved his article. I am very happy. I love helping others.
