Although intelligence is purveyed as a requisite quality how does it really help towards success, for example, happiness and quality of life. Is there something to be said for stupidity?

Are intelligent people richer or is it only a certain type of intelligence that acquires money? Are not most philosophers poor? Do we have better relationships (I strongly doubt it)?

Isn't luck a better quality to possess?
