Have you ever used HOBO Water temperature Pro ?

By reviewing the properties of the selected temperature data logger which is battery operated and low power consumption i found that it satisfies your specs. So, You can use it if its budget is affordable to you.
If you sample the temperature every one minute or greater the battery life time extends to 6 years.

I agree that hobos are good, and I would also look at the pendants. They are much cheaper than the pro, the batteries last long and are easy to change.
Either way you go, I also recommend getting the waterproof shuttle, it allows you to read out data and reset the logger in the field.
