This is focused on the rating of existing surface aerators, from a decentralized waste stabilizations series of ponds in Ecuador (mechanically aerated, facultative and maturation ponds).

Ambient Temperature = 24 - 26°C

Pond T = 26 - 30°C

I have this question because I have read from a consultant that higher temperatures should not be used for design as they are an indicator of "dead zones" in the pond, where no mixing occurs. However, aeration power requirements will be less, because oxygen transfer increases with lower temperatures.
