I want to extract metagenomic DNA from water sample. so i like to know the minimum volume of sample required.
Why don't you try different volumes and come up with the answer yourself?
I am yet to do the sampling. so want to know the minimum volumes so that i dnt have to visit the sampling site repeatedly.
You have to know first the concentration of bacteria in the water of your sampling site. It may differ dramatically
I have multiple bacterial isolates having different antibiotic pattern. I would like to prepare dendrogram no basis of similarity of antibiotic pattern.

Also would like to know whether the agarose plugs (after digestion) can be melted to load in the gel for electrophoresis as it is not there in CDC protocol of V.cholerae.
