Every year a group of professors visits high schools and represents our college. Through social networking and advertising through the website of the Faculty the necessary information is provided to new students. Also, there is an event called OPEN DOOR UNIVERSITY, when they visit us and we talk with prospective students. The Alumni Association of former students and professors also play its role. Are there any new methods with the scientific approach in this area? Which method you use and what are your experiences?
We can attract many new students to our colleges and universities by winning the heart of the current students and their parents, because they are the brand ambassador of the college. We can win their heart by:
(i) Providing them the best academic, cocurricular and extracurricular infrastructure and facilities.
(ii) Keeping highly qualified and experienced faculty members who can give them parental touch and treat them as their own children.
(iii) Providing them research facilities.
(iv) Providing them campus placement.
(v) Enabling them to qualify for higher studies.
(vi) Conducting seminars/ workshops/ conferences by inviting experts from academia/ industries/ Research laboratories.
(vii) Offering value added courses which will help them fetch a lucrative job.
I have found that aggressive advertising on all social media, meta search engines yields satisfactory results. And also an offer of financial assistance/ fee waivers/study material for meritorious new entrants attracts students.
I think that Open Door University is indeed a great for a university to present itself for young minds! Our university also organizes various presentations in high schools throughout the year. For example, student organization American Society of Mechanical Engineers conducts several entertainment type of events for school children in order to attract children to the science and to MSU eventually. Our students seem to be very passionate about communication with school kids!
The techniques which can be used according to me :
1. Indication of secure future for students(placement in their industries/job guarantee)
2. Free entrance/admission test.
3. Scholarships for good student.
4. Quality education with use of modern technology.
5. Better facilities to students (like free 24hr wi-fi, 24x7 library and reading room, gym and indoor sports stadium, etc.)
6. Better Campus and environment.
7. Opportunity for extra curricular activities.

Well, in addition to the contributions mentioned above, I can write these few lines:
- Build an excellent (dynamic and attractive) web site of the University/college. In this website, well-presented video testimonials of former and current students can help attract several students. Besides, indication in this website that several fellowships are continuously offered for students would certainly have a positive impact on attracting a higher number of students to the University in consideration.
- Continuous presence in most social (media) networks to allow students share their ideas and interact with Faculty staff in order to understand their needs and what are they looking for (academic programs, facilities, potential job opportunities after obtaining their diploma, etc.).
- Show, through organization of University campus visits, the national / international scientific awards (of excellence) received by the University / College to draw attention to future potentials students who are really interested to be enrolled in a reputable University.

My university does also have such Open Days, but in my opinion, the best solution are scholarships for good students and job guarantee. That solution gives a good motivation to learn, and this is the most important thing. I observe that many students haven't got any motivation (the result of this is very sad).
The language college I am working for,(King George International Language College) has a very successful "Pathway" program which informs International students with presentations and field trips to partner universities and colleges on a regular basis. I think, those partnerships are a good solution to 'let students know' about academic opportunities
My college is for pre univ students. We go to schools to promote, by stating that we provide 'world class' education. This just means that science and maths are taught in English. Although many students are nervous about this, a research showed that they are 'proud' to have opportunity to study in English.
We also have MOU with Univ Malaya, the oldest and most established univ, where most courses arein English. That's why our college is most popular, among matric colleges.

Enrolment of higher education institutions is a marketing job. It is a primary business interest and a symptom of commercialization of higher education worldwide.
Enrolment activity has nothing to do with scientific research or teaching aims. I think teachers and researchers has enough work to do if they want to carry out their job comme il faut.
OPEN DOOR UNIVERSITY days as an event may be interesting but let us not get carried away. A university teacher is not a clown or a media man.
I´m convinced that high enrollment rates are caused primarily by the interesting surrounding of the university. We are dealing here with young people. If the city is boring the universities will not be visited in this town.

Our lyceum wins the second place in our region. Our specialized institution is very popular among citizens. The items of success: highly qualified staff, profound courses in Maths, Physics, History, Biology, Humanities, the atmosphere of humanity and creativity, creative administration,wonderful club activities, sports facilities, possibility to participate in scientific work.Our teachers and students are winners in international, regional competitions. Our lyceum is the academic ground for our universities.Surely, reputation and equal possibilities both for poor and rich students are the main reasons for popularity.We met American, French scientists and educators, Ministry of education in lyceum. Absolutely, many students go to a particular university/high school based on the academic output and productivity, which is provoked by stability in academic processes, high infrastructures; good teaching and research aids and experienced tutors/instructors. Open Houses held by various Departments are a good way to publicize the University's programs
I hardly can imagine that there is one methode to attract many new students to your University. I am afraid, we have to work hard and for decades to built up a renomme.
Thinking in smaller numbers we are successful with common projects (scientific actual interesting new items) with teams between pupils of schools (upper classes) and students in their first semesters. But to manage this we worked for about 5 years to install the conditions in schools and in the basic semesters at University. Beginning with single partners and widening it over time.
So nothing is given for free. To change the system that is allways a very hard job!
