Hello everyone,

currently i am dealing with the introduction of new model for cytoprotection on A172 glioblastoma (astrocytes). This model is going to be complementary tool to already introduced and established and ordinary toxin-induced models of neurodegenerations such as 6-OHDA and Glutamate on SH-SY5Y.

So far i have found several publications about cytoprotection in Hemin-induced death of A172, then standard H2O2 and finally phosphate-induced cell death of A172. These models seem to me quite basic and i am looking for something more specific and suitable for middle-throughput screening.

Thank you for your tips ! :)
