I have cryopreserved the undifferentiated condition of SH-SY5Y cell line in the early passage in a cyomedia formulated with 90% FBS and 10% DMSO (sterile-filtered). Some months later, I have thawed the cryopreserved undifferentiated cell line, but what I found in the laboratory is the undifferentiated cell line are fully recovered in a differentiated condition, the cells were grown in a regular maintaining growth media (DMEM/F12 supplemented with 10% FBS and without any of the differentiating agent). Is it possible to get the cells back into its undifferentiated condition? Can anyone give me a suggestion related to this? thank you.
