Over the years we have made a few wrong decisions in selecting journals to publish papers that we have written. Few times, I could not publish my paper in the journal I initially attempted for, yet I managed to publish it after the 2nd, 3rd or 4th try in other journals. If I had considered partnering with someone with a successful track record of publishing then and followed his/her lead to choose the right journal I would have been happier. Maybe you have been in a similar situation as mine. Let's discuss how we can improve our journal selection process. Definitely, we can make better decisions about our paper's destination if we spend some time thinking about it before submitting our next paper. Once we know the general quality of our paper, we can narrow down our choices.
