Yes, trust is a performance multiplier because it allows for both the employee and leader to depend on each other in committing to do what is best to get the job done.

Trust is a relational factor developed in a relational situation, as a consequence of transparency, ethics and confidence in interactions. Trust certainly is a performance multiplier in an organizational situation. There must be mutual trust between leadership and employees for implementation of strategic decisions. The organizational culture, which is build up on mutual trust, empowerment and participation, is the culture of performance.

To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.

Trust is faith, believe, benevolence, assurance. Yes, it is a performance multiplier as everyone is intended to work unquestionably for those, whom he trust. On the other hand, if there is a lack of trust between individuals. performances will never be as per the requirements. The same can be judged by our own examples. We all work wholeheartedly if we believe either in the cause or on the individual. 

Trust is not dependent on anyone's behaviour or dealings. Its for the self.

To me TRUST is a symbol of HONESTY,INTEGRITY ,& SINCERITY.This 3 represent the entire working environment & action of the effectiveness of working of the society .

Any structure of the organisation is judge for his working effectiveness & fulfillment of the action plan so that the spirit of organisation communicates with the norms under trusteeship having an effectiveness of the working of an organisation .

When any units runs its action plan under an integrity mode,leadership & employees both have the satisfactory working under the co-operative attitude & confirmation with the leaders & the management of the organisation .

This is my personal opinion  

I think trust is not always useful in education or research. A leader in these areas should encourage a critical form of "dubito, ergo sum" (not only „cogito, ergo sum”) for all his collaborators. To accept, I repeat in education or research, an enunciation just because I trust in the specialist who said that I think is dangerous. So I believe that in these two areas, education and research, trust is not a performance multiplier factor.

Trust is the ability to make someone depend on you in some way. It is the result of loyalty, faith and good will that may come from past experience and good faith . ( my opinion)

Trust is an outcome that occurs within a person in respect of another person owing to observing or feeling trustworthiness of that another person. One must not break promises to be trustworthy. In my view there is a moral quality called Honesty which is perhaps the most important virtue and one dimension of Honesty is trustworthiness (the other one is truthfulness-not to tell lies). If one has trustworthiness it is more likely that he or she can earn others' acceptance and respect.
