KRAS, NRAS, and BRAF mutations and microsatellite instability (MSI) could be considered as diagnostic and prognostic markers in patients with early colorectal cancer.

Patients with early colorectal cancer have a high rate of KRAS mutation and KRAS multi-site mutation. KRAS mutations are associated with the survival of patients with early colorectal cancer. Patients with early colorectal cancer will benefit from KRAS mutation testing.
