Hello, every one, I am not expert with Social statistic but interest with it. May I know the which kind of statistical analysis can use for the sample size 60. also this is about a survey relating with the public attitudes about legal awareness. My object is to identify the legal awareness of public can use to minimum the crime. Please assist me. Thank you all
Since it is a public survey, small n should be avoided, which also increases the margin of error.
For small sample sizes, you could use a t-test or perhaps a generalized linear model.
60 is quite a small size for surveys. Say you have outcome measured in 2 categories, (aware , not aware) and a main exposure variable is also 2 categories ( experience of crime , yes or no) and there is a third two category variable ( which may be a potential confounder or mediator or moderator) of the main relationship of interest. So the full table will have 2 by 2 by 2 cells and that is 60/8 pieces of information about each cell on average which is not a lot, so it can be expected anything you find will be very uncertain. And that is why people recommend power calculations before analysis.
