COMSOL Multiphysics has a build-in module for Li-ion Battery and it also gives freedom for user-defined function implementation.

Both COMSOL and Ansys are fine. Some people say Comsol is more user friendly, but Fluent has also UDF options. I dont recommend Simscale over the other options.

COMSOL Multiphysics is a good choice for battery problems because the software has in built environment. Also, there are a lot of free webinars on batteries problem on their websites. like especially for Lithium-Ion Batteries

I would recommend the big players here such as COMSOL and ANSYS, if you are planning to model the batteries on a cell level. These tools have UDF or built-in modules to support the modeling of Lithium Ion batteries. But if you are looking for an early stage Battery thermal analysis concerning the positioning of cells, thermal dissipation and cold plate designs and joule heating effects, then SimScale would be a good option to start with.
