I am doing some diversity analysis for mineral content. If i want to compare and identify five best groups/samples from 70 samples (for 10 different parameters-independent variables), which statistical method or test have to use? If i consider all the samples as independent, ANOVA one-way is enough to compare and identify the best groups?
If data are sampled from a normal/Gaussian distribution, ANOVA is enough.

I think you must do some preliminary analysis and based on that you must narrow down your samples to (25 to 30) the good one. Based on smaller samples, you can go for ANOVA. I wonder with such a large samples, you may get non-significant differences and actually they may not.
