In our pilot study, we have to analyze human RBCs for their osmotic fragility. We have started to do the basic procedure, i.e. preparation of sodium chloride solutions with various concentrations and addition of a blood drop and inspection of the preparation after 1 hour for hemolysis by naked eye. If anyone knows the standard protocol to conduct the RBCs osmotic fragility test with the highest accuracy, please help us.
