Presence of microbial biomass in soil is mandatory for any mineralization process to take place to release the nutrients from the immobilized sources . mineral portion of soil of its own has no mineralizing ability , the liveliness of soil comes through presence of these microbes only . And microbial biomass is considered to be the most sensitive soil biological property to undergo changes in response to any external stimuli , besides microbial biomass being considered as a one of the prime soil health indicators. entire soil fertility transformation reactions are by and large regulated by microbial biomass only . So you keep on counting the relevance of microbial biomass.......
