Why in some articles where the antibacterial properties of silver and copper nanoparticles have been compared, in some of them, silver have higher antibacterial properties and in others copper?
It may depend on the species of bacteria, and even the strain within the species. It may also depend on the structure of the nanoparticles, or the medium in which the experiment was conducted, or the stage of growth of the bacteria. Also, the measurement of minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) is usually done on 2-fold serial dilutions, so their resolution is 2-fold in either direction.
