During a die-sink EDM test I measured, than in case of larger spark distance (gap) the productivity increased (maybe evident) and the electrode wear decreased. (I expected increasing wear)
Does it meet with your experiences?
Parameters:
electrode materal: CU,
test part material: steel 1.2343
goal surface quality: VDI 18-21-24,
spark gap 0,2-0,25-0,3
