I'm trying to do dynamic analysis on a simple structure. Almost all the examples I get on the book, the stiffness formed is simplified into 1 member with 1 centralized mass (picture: simplified.jpg).

But we know for each level (example on the shape of the frame) itself is composed of 3 members. (picture: simple frame.jpg)

furthermore stiffness equation that used is from the stiffness factor (picture: stiffness factor.jpg), not based on the equations of finite element method (such as like frame, truss, grid, beam, etc) (picture: stiffness matrix.jpg).

I would be very grateful to get an explanation from anyone.
