I try to make a structural model by using matrix equation but I have no found the exact calculation of response spectra for Finite Element Method. I just find the method appy to shear building where the model is simplified.
In order to have an accurate simulation of an impact problem, a sub-structural model updating strategy was introduced. By this approach, FE model can be corrected at the substructure level at the frequency ranges same as those caused by the shock force signal. Then the FE model with high order modes of the whole
structure will be accurate. Therefore, modal superposition can be employed to compute the response of a shock input with high frequencies. The improved digital recursive filtering method to generate the SRS from a time transient response was also introduced. Two metrics of validation are discussed in the article, the one is the Root Mean Squared error metric, and the other is the (PCD) metric. The proposed approach was verified by a case study of an automotive chaises structure impacted by a horizontal force both analytically and experimentally.
Thanks for your answer, you are right sir, I start it from the beginning with the matrix equation for finite element method and than I will apply response spectra method for that. After that I will compare with sap 2000.
I would like to tell you if I have find what I look for in there.
I have checked Gupta ebook, I think this ebook the best one. but I have some question that I don't know, about normal coordinat (normal coordinat.jpg), should I find the solution by using numerical techniques or another?
