I am currently try to make Seismic Reliability Analysis of Structure by using Monte Carlo (MC) to define the variable.
In my research, equation of motion is solved deterministically by using time history method, then I need to input random variables (by using principle of random number generator on monte carlo).
Displacement which I get as solution of equation of motion will be compared with the "displacement threshold" to indicate whether the structure succeeds or fails? "
I hope I can discuss with all of you who ever do Reliability Analysis of Structure to help me get idea.
