Our laboratory has a PerkinElmer (model: AAnalyst 800) atomic absorption spectroscopy. Recently, the performance of the device has encountered a problem. When the circuit breaker of the device automatically turns off the air compressor, the flame also turns off, and a "No air pressure" error appears on the screen. Due to this issue, we are unable to use the device.
It should be noted that the air compressor has been checked and there is no problem associated with it.
If you can help with your guidance, it will undoubtedly be a great favor to many of our students who are having trouble doing their dissertation tests.
You need to ask the manufacturer, but it sound like one or the other, or perhaps both, pressure sensors is/are faulty
The possible reasons for the circuit breaker turning off the air compressor could be:
- Power Supply Issues: There may be a problem with the power supply to the air compressor, such as an electrical fault or a tripped circuit breaker. It is recommended to check the power connections and ensure that the circuit breaker is functioning correctly.
- Compressor Malfunction: The air compressor itself could be malfunctioning, resulting in a loss of air pressure. This could be due to issues such as a faulty motor, a blocked air filter, or a leak in the air compression system. In such cases, contacting the instrument's service provider or technical support is advisable to diagnose and resolve the compressor issue.
This means that no enough air or gas reachs the system. This normally caused by air compressor is not working or gas regulator is not will adjusted or selinoid valve problem.
It may not be the air pressure that is the issue. Do you have another interlock triggered as well? Any interlock (except for Nitrous Oxide since it's not required) will also trigger the air interlock because, as a safety feature, the system's air is purged through the burner chamber to ensure there are no flammable gases in the chamber. Once you satisfy the other interlock, such as Drain or Nebulizer, the air interlock will be reset as well. If you have further problems please email us at [email protected]
