In most of the perovskite oxides, the conduction mechanism is constituted by the hopping of charge carriers. so what is the physical significance of ρ_0 in the VRH mechanism

The temperature-dependent resistivity here is given by, ρ(T) = ρ0 exp (T0/T)1/4. If T -> ∞, the exponential factor tends to 1. So, ρ0 basically represents the high temperature limit of resistivity.
