Having been stated in the literature, SSDs adopt dynamic mapping policies to map logical addresses to physical addresses in the back-end. Thus, the sequential logical addresses may be mapped to physical addresses which are not sequential. So, what makes a noticeable difference between sequential I/O requests and random ones?
