- Has an intuitive interface
- Provides robust documentation and support
- Is compatible with various data formats
- Offers a range of analysis tools suitable for urban ecology research
Could anyone recommend software that fits these criteria?

In my opinion, it is not possible to precisely recommend a specific software for this task because we see that some software has many capabilities in the field of spatial data processing, but sometimes we are forced to use another software to improve some processes before entering our specific software. What I mean is that some of them have specific toolboxes that others lack.
However, at present, it is better to use open-source platforms such as Google Earth Engine for remote sensing programming tasks, which have extensive data support and do not require any costs. There are also software like RStudio that you can take advantage of.
For example, software like IDRISI TERRSET offers ecosystem service capabilities well but requires specific processing knowledge.
For spatial and geospatial data processing, you can use innovative software like ArcGIS Pro, which has the capability to process vector and raster data and many other formats. It also benefits from new toolboxes that can efficiently perform most processing in the field of urban ecology. For this option, you can purchase a license.

For more advanced needs, ArcGIS, ENVI, and ERDAS IMAGINE offer extensive capabilities. Consider also the availability of tutorials, community support, and specific functionalities that match your research requirements.

Qgis is open source, than Idrisi Terrset, and ArcGis. My sugestion is Qgis.
