I have assessed the effect of trypsin and pepsin on phages. Thus, I want to compare the normal concentration range with the concentration where phages remain viable.
Hello Kenneth Ssekatawa
Please refer to the following references for trypsin and pepsin concentration.
1) Trypsin
Trypsin: 45-800ug/ml. See Table 1 in reference attached below.
https://adc.bmj.com/content/archdischild/45/243/651.full.pdf
Trypsin : 50-800ug/ml. See Fig 6 in reference attached below.
Article Studies of Intestinal Digestion and Absorption in the Human1
Trypsin activity is measured. See Fig 1 in reference attached below.
https://gut.bmj.com/content/gutjnl/8/4/408.full.pdf
2) Pepsin
Pepsin in the human stomach is at 0.5–1 mg/mL, where 1 mg contains ≥ 2500 U pepsin activity. Please refer to reference attached below.
https://www.nature.com/articles/s42003-021-02487-2.pdf
Best.
Trypsin : 50-800ug/ml.
Pepsin concentration in the stomach ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 mg/ml.
I am so grateful for the data. it has been of great use
