I use lipofectamine 2000 to transiently transfect my plasmid into the HeLa cells and then use selection antibiotic to make stable cell. This method does not give very good transfection efficiency and takes a long time to generate stable cell line. Does anyone know an efficient and faster way to generate a stable cell line starting from a plasmid? Please share the protocol with me.

Hi,
You could try Lentiviral vectors . It will also take time as well and you will need to make monoclonal cells but it is more efficient than plasmid and selection method.
