1) Goldenseal root (Hydrastis canadensis) for it has antibiotic properties. It is able to target "unwanted" bacteria, as well as protozoa and yeasts. Its herbal extract does not harm the "beneficial" bacteria that are necessary in the digestive tract. It is one of the most effective remedies for inflamed and catarrhal conditions of the mucus membranes (bronchial tubes, throat, intestines, stomach, etc.). Its herbal extract has an active compound called berberine that is suggested for killing microbes and is used in the treatment of open sores, ringworm, skin diseases, diptheria, tonsillitis, throat problems, spinal meningitis, pneumonia, cold sores, colds, colitis, acne, abscesses, auto-immune diseases, pyorrhea, sore gums, sinus infections, viral infections, yeast infections, candida infections, parasites such as giardia and tapeworm and urinary tract infections (UTI).
2) Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) is a powerful cure-all for many ailments. It can be used to treat malaria, syphilis, diptheria, blood poisoning and scarlet fever. Echinacea continues to be the object of much scientific research and a popular choice over antibiotics. The common everyday ailments, such as cold or virus, sore throats, fevers and coughs, still succumb to the layman's use of Echinacea. Herbalists recommend it to boost one's immune system and fight off infections. They also recommend it for the treatment of athlete's foot, hay fever, sinusitis, vaginal yeast (candida), conjunctivitis and ear infections. Echinacea is used externally to treat open wounds and skin problems, boils and acne. Goldenseal and Echinacea are often used in conjunction because they combine antibiotic and immune-boosting qualities.
3) Poke Root (Phytolaca decandra), also called Pokeweed, is sometimes used by herbalists for the treatment of tonsillitis, infections, rheumatoid arthritis and even cancer. 4) Cayenne pepper (Capsicum annum) is thought to boost immunity and keep you going when a virus gets you down. That could be because it is high in vitamin C and antioxidants that help to keep infection under control. Cayenne also works to keep the blood circulating efficiently in the body and can be applied to frostbite and gangrene to help draw blood to the affected areas. 5) You Can use Chrysanthemum lavandulifolium extract, that contains chrysoeriol, sudachitin, and acacetin, having excellent antibiotic effects on Escherichia coli.
