I am going to incubate HUVEC with 10 ng/ml tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α; R&D systems, Abingdon, UK) or PBS as control for 5hrs and measure VCAM-1 (vascularcell adhesion molecule-1) mRNA expression levels by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.

Would you tell me the most appropriate media for TNFa-treated HUVEC ?

(I am wondering if 0.1~0.2% BSA containg media would damage HUVEC and reduce cell viavility.)
