Onr of my patient reported that several workers in factory are suffering from diabetes and it might be due to absorption of sugar through inhalation or skin absorption.

Inhaling sugar ?????? just have no idea or read anywhere it is possible. Probably the prevalence of diabetes has increased everywhere.
If you really need to establish any association, you have to conduct a quality study first, otherwise its just a hearsay and must be ignored

Inhalation of sugar? I have no clue.
Maybe they are eating their lunch that has lots of the ambient sugar.
I agree with Sikander that this could just be hearsay. But you should make a note of it anyway.
I also feel these workers to be overworked and sustaining sugar as their major source of food.Please check if they not getting sugar and related products at subsidized rates
