Right dr . .it depends on certain links that lead the students' task ..but in fact I wonder if there is another way of using it other than using links..

We used the technique a little differently in our class. Instead of creating our webquest and having students do our set webquest, we decided to make our class project focus on student development of webquests. We let our students work in groups to develop webquests on assigned topics. Each group's webquest was shared with other groups to allow them to explore another topic in the syllabus. The course dealt with mathematical applications as well as management theory and practice (Production and Operations Management).

I read the abstract of your paper and I like to ask you ,what do you mean by "the students developed their webquests" . Do you mean making links or what?

One of the most important application of webquests is written duties where the students need to write a guided  composition or essay.  They consult the webquests and make certain choices among many. This will reinforce their autonomy and self confidence .
