The SCB (Semi-Circular Bend) disk, Is one of the famous test specimens in the field of LEFM. With this standard test specimen, researchers can be determined the fracture toughness of brittle materials.
For this work, the value of the geometry factor of the specimen must be known. Therefore Abaqus and other FE software are used to determine this factor in the various crack positions with analysis of stationary cracks.
