What is the influence of literature review for any journal paper?

Personally I find literature review plays a significant role in conducting a research as well as in writing up the manuscript. Literature review is a prerequisite before any research can be conducted i.e. to know what had been done by others to date or understand the baseline before you embark on a specific / niche area of research for knowledge contribution.

How to access the quality of the paper based on Literature Review?

Following can be considered:

By evaluating how complete the literature reviewed / written by the author.

By evaluating how deep the literature being reviewed in the context of your research.

By evaluating whether the literature only summarized what had be read but rather how the literature is being reviewed & structured i.e. from analysis to synthesis so that readers can see something not being seen before.

You can also refer to the following RG link how to review literature that you'd collected, organized into structured ideas before further conducting your research or writing your literature review section of your thesis / manuscript.

Literature review is extremely important. This gives an idea of what has been done so far in the area and allows you to look p those references for further elucidation. Omitting literature review is tantamount to lying almost - ignoring or failing to cite what has been accomplished to date. A brief review is often adequate.
