What is the effect of solvent in crystallizing Ru(II) arene complexes? The yellowish organge complex solution become green after half a day - Why?

I am trying to crystallize Ru(II) arene complexes for a long time. Mostly i have used CHCl2/CHCl3, layering hexane on CHCl3 solution and mixture of CHCl3 and EtOH etc. I have tried in slow evaporation and solvent layering techniques (even in inert) for crystallization. In the initial solution colour is yellowish orange but after a day it becomes green colour solution and no crystallization happened. Initially I thought Ru(II) oxidized to Ru(III) but the green complex also NMR active which shows that Ru still in +2 oxidation state. Can any one suggest a solution for this problem?
