Can you suggest me a publication with simulations of deformation in chip during cutting with large and small cutting depth (producing small and large chips)?

but all three articles do not say anything about influence of machining depth on strain in chips. Almost every modelling of machining includes effect of speed but not of cutting depth.
The Machinist Handbook covers most of this information. There is a section specifically catering to machining operations including chip thicknesses and cutting depths. This does not include simulations, however the depth and breadth of information is impressive and is regarded as an industry standard reference in manufacturing.
