if you have an XY file you can simply rename the file extension to .ASC and then you can open it via "File => Open" in HighScore.

After opening the data you select the Data set/Scan in the Scan List and in the Object Inspector under the Node Instrument settings you choose CheckBox"Incident Beam Monochromator" to signalize its monochromatic radiation, you select Anode Material "Other" and under Radiation you have to enter the true wavelength. Thats it.

As far as I remember, there was an option to import XY data (probably, called differently, ASC or something like that) somewhere in HighScore plus. Unfortunately, I do not have this software right now, so I cannot check.

In XRDML file the wavelength is described in the section starting with 'usedWavelength' tag. Set all values equal to your synchrotron wavelength and ratio equal to 1:

Now check the screen below. In file there is wavelength of 0.1423 when the same file is opened in HS it was changed to Cu radiation

and what is more the profile fit is not good.

I see that you have several files opened. That might be a problem. Can you try to close Highscore completely and open only the converted file?

Ah, before you start the fit you may need to adapt the Profile Variables (Caglioti or TCH U,V,W) because the Defaults are for Lab data which has much broader peaks. Basically just use a small starting W like 0.001 and set the other values to zero.

If you want to refine Synchrotron XRD data in HighScore(Plus) you just need to tell it what the correct wavelength is, how to do that is described in my post above.

You typically convert data to another wavelength only to visually compare the data on a 2Theta scale graphics. You should not refine converted scans.   

How to (wavelength) convert scans depends on the HighScore version.

For V4.x the first step is the is as described above, you load the synchrotron data as XY file, then you set the correct wavelength in the Scan Object Inspector.

You then simply go to Treatment => Corrections => Convert Wavelength..

and you can convert the scan into any wavelength you want.

In V3.x you first load a Lab XRD scan measured at the Wavelength you want to convert the Synchrotron scan into. Then  under Customize => Defaults you change the anode material to "Other" and then you enter the wavelength of the synchrotron data and you set the checkmark at "incident beam monochromator", then you close the dialog with OK and you Insert the Synchrotron data XRD file into your current document. During import the data will be converted from the entered default wavelength to the wavelength of the lab XRD data.

Thomas Degen Dear Thomas, thank you for your answer. I have some other questions. As shown in the attached file (image 1), do these parameters like k-alpha1, k-alpha2, k-beta and the ratio need to be changed? i have tried the methods you mentioned above, after which the intensity changed as shown in (image 2 in FIT2D and image 3 in Highscore plus). Is it normal that the intensity changed? And when i tried to IdeAll, there is nothing identified (image 4). could you help me answer these quenstions? Thank you.

You main graph still says Copper(Cu) on the bottom, so you didn't yet change the anode material/wavelength away from the default. You simply need to follow my first advise which was:

When "Incident Beam Monochromator" is checked the other wavelengths (Kalpha2 and Kbeta) are not used and can be left unchanged.

Thomas Degen Dear Thomas, it can work now. thank you. i have another question in FIT2D as shown in Fig.1. Should I need to do the mask or cake operation for my data? When I try to do the cake operation for my data, there is less difference between them, so is for the mask operation.I am not sure about whether there is a need to do these two operation. Thank you.

I am not familiar with FIT2D but I would guess that you need to cut a cake :)
