From a mathematical point of view, the models applied in solute transport context are very similar to those applied in colloid transport context. For example, site blocking model in colloid transport context is similar to the Langmuir model in solute transport context. In terms of sorption/desorption constant parameters in solute literature we use the word "isotherm" since the temperature affect the sorption reaction. However, why is there no word used in colloid transport literature even though the same mathematical model is applicable?
