In a mixed-method research study, must we always compare the findings gotten from quantitative data, with that of qualitative data in the same study, or is it appropriate to carry out a mixed-method study where the aim is only to use the outcome of the qualitative study to explain or reinforce the position or outcome of the quantitative study without making comparisons of the two findings?
