Both techniques can be used to identify patterns and meanings in qualitative data, but thematic analysis is more focused on identifying underlying themes and concepts.
Thematic analysis and content analysis are qualitative methods with different focuses. Thematic analysis explores patterns of meaning (themes) in data, aiming for a deep interpretation of participants’ experiences. It uses flexible, often inductive coding. Content analysis, on the other hand, categorizes and usually quantifies data to identify trends or frequencies, using more structured coding. While thematic analysis seeks to understand the underlying reasons behind responses, content analysis focuses on the "what" and "how often" aspects. In short, thematic analysis offers depth and insight, while content analysis provides systematic organization and measurement of content. The choice depends on the research aim and nature of the data.

Thematic Analysis has to interpret and understand the meanings and patterns in data in an Inductive, flexible, and subjective way. The Themes and deeper meanings are reflected, and outcomes are Rich with narrative insights.
Content Analysis has to categorize data to identify patterns with Deductive, structured and objective style; Predefined codes are applied systematically in this analysis and outcomes are in Quantified patterns in a statistical way.

Thematic analysis focuses on identifying, analyzing and interpreting patterns of meaning(themes) across a qualitative dataset that helps in understanding the underlying ideas, assumptions and conceptualisation within the data, WHILE, Content analysis focuses on quantifying and categorizing the content of textual data which involves counting the frequency of certain words, phrases, or concepts to identify patterns.

To what i understood Themetic Analysis deals themes wise classification by deeply understanding the text, while content analysis deals frequency of words or phases of a content by deeply understanding the text.
