I am really seeing great differences in the time-dependent material response performing the same analysis but in Visco or in Dynamic/implicit.
I see that Abaqus recommend to use the Visco step but I would like to understand why. I appreciate that the forces are lower in the dynamic step.
I hope someone could help with the topic.

The difference in both analysis routines stems from whether your defined material properties are time-dependent in a particular time step or not. For cases where thermal expansion is considered, a viscostep analysis can be used. If not, a dynamic/implicit analysis should be okay.

I thought as you, but then I realised that my results differs too much between the two steps (Visco or dynamic). I do not have thermal expansion.
I will continue investigating. Maybe I have something wrong in the model that I have not yet seen.

Dynamic analysis considers the effect of the inertia during the simulation as well. It means that during the solution it calculates the mass matrix to reflect the effects of inertial forces on the system. However, a viscous analysis(as far as I know) does not consider the effect of the inertia and provides a quasi-static solution. In a quasi-static analysis, time steps only affects the viscous behaviour of the material but mass matrix and inertial effects are not considered.
