Hi,

In the ultracentrifugation method, there are several steps in which one collects the supernatant ,discard the tube with the sediment, transfer the supernatant into a new tube for a higher RCF centrifugation step.

Since the sediment "stays down" at the bottom of the tube, and the RCF is increased in each step - Is it necessary to transfer the supernatant into a new tube after each step, or is it possible to execute all the steps - until the UC - in the same tube?

For time, money and plastic saving...
