What is the difference between allele, gene, locus?

As I understand, locus is location of gene on chromosome. It is just location but the gene composed of nucleotides. But I read that genes as MHC has 6 loci. Also, I read multiple allele on same locus and don't know if this means each person has different versions of the gene?.
